I felt a little weary about purchasing an open box item from this store. After all, I could get a brand new one from Amazon for $1460. However, purchasing on this site you get it for $999 and no sales tax, no import duties, and free shipping! In fact, I had already purchased one on Amazon but it had an issue and needed to go back, so I thought why not take a chance at saving $460.00? It just seemed too good to be true but I could not resist the temptation. I took a chance and, boy, was I blown away. The open box amp arrived in one week. It was packed exactly like the new one and, once opened, a flawless amp was revealed--literally exactly like the new one. I saw no signs of use anywhere other than the tape on the plastic bags had obviously been reused. Further, it did not have the issue the new amp had (random muting). I was a little worried that perhaps I got an older unit, but in comparing the serial numbers, the open box one was only about 15 numbers prior to the new one. I basically got a brand new amp that sounds WONDERFUL for 33% off. This amp is a no-brainer at $1500. At $1,000, it is easily the greatest bargain in all of hifi and it's not even close. Keep in mind that while it sounds very good with stock tubes, be prepared to drop $400+ on new tubes because this thing gets elevated to ridiculous levels with upgraded tubes. In stock form, it competes respectably with $3k amps. After new tubes, you are in the realm of rare stuff in the $5k+ range. I could not be...

My Experience with Willsenton Tube Amplifier and China-Hifi-Audio.com I’d like to share my personal experience with a Willsenton tube amplifier purchased through china-hifi-audio.com, as many audiophiles are understandably cautious about purchasing tube gear directly from overseas. From a build quality standpoint, the amplifier itself exceeded my expectations. The chassis is solid and heavy, the transformers are substantial, and the internal layout reflects proper tube-amp design principles. This does not feel like a cheaply assembled product. Fit and finish are very good, and packaging was excellent, with careful protection of both the amplifier and the tubes. Regarding sound quality, the Willsenton delivers exactly what I expect from a well-designed tube amplifier: a rich and natural midrange, excellent tonal density, and a sense of depth and dimensionality that makes music engaging. Vocals sound organic, acoustic instruments have body and texture, and the presentation is detailed without being fatiguing. Bass control was better than expected for a tube amplifier in this category, and the high frequencies were smooth and well integrated. That said, I want to be transparent about the full experience. The first amplifier I received had a noise issue that could not be resolved through BIAS adjustment or standard troubleshooting. I have purchased several items through Mr Lee at China HiFi. My products have arrived very quickly (Less than 1 week!) to my home in Western Australia. All items have been packaged very well, securely, and unmarked. I believe Mr Lee takes pride in his business. Any correspondance from me has been replied to very quickly.

I purchased this model from China-Hifi a few years back and received a very different sounding piece of equipment. I believe this recent purchase may contain upgraded electronics. It has a much lighter overall sound-much less bass and more mid/treble. It also has a much better, larger sound stage-no small, muffled or cramped sound as previously. I re-tubed it completely: Russian NOS 6N2P-EV x 2 for the preamp, Genalex Gold Lion U77 rectifier and Mullard (new production) EL34 x 2 for the power section. Now it sounds just lovely! Very happy with this purchase.

I have two systems and have used the best Bluetooth offered by AudioEngine, Auris Blume and BluDento. The first 2 didn’t last long, Maybe 6 months. BluDento on the other hand sounded better with its Burr Brown chips and the 2 I own never failed. All 3 sounded better when they were run through the Peachtree Audio DacitX which sold for $450 American dollars. I was intending to on staying with Bludento. Then read everything they had done to get the best sounding Bluetooth with the Soundartist The metal box vs the plastic box of the other 3 sealed the deal. Impressions this is one heavy little box built like a tank. I have moved it many times and unlike the others no signs of failure. The sound quality is superior CD quality. I’m running it through a Willsenton 300b tube amp and Silverline Minuett speakers it sounds fantastic. I hooked it up to the Peachtree Audio $450 external DAC and there was a notable drop in performance. That still stuns me the DAC inside this $95 Bluetooth sounds better. It’s been over a decade since I’ve reviewed any audio equipment. This one deserves the attention.

Wow just Wow am I thrilled with the product and service from China HIFI! Price was much better than eBay or Amazon, communication was fantastic, packaging was excellent, and I had it on my doorstep here in the USA within a matter of days. Amazing amplifier by the way. Class A tube amplification is a whole 'nuther level!

I purchased the Willsenton R200 with EL34 tubes. I have used it for 1 year in combination with Wharfdale Linton Anniversary speakers. Fantastic sound.... detailed and very comfortable to listen to. Highly recommended.

This is the 5th tube amp I have purchased from China-hifi. I have never had any issues with any of their products. I have upgraded each purchase. This is by far the best amp to date. Detailed, separation, sound stage, lush mids and highs. Build quality is excellent. You can't purchase an amp of this caliber in the states for anything close to this price. I had an issue with a defective tube. I emailed Sofia and had a response within 12hrs. They are sending a new tube. You can't get better customer than that.
