I have two systems and have used the best Bluetooth offered by AudioEngine, Auris Blume and BluDento. The first 2 didn’t last long, Maybe 6 months. BluDento on the other hand sounded better with its Burr Brown chips and the 2 I own never failed. All 3 sounded better when they were run through the Peachtree Audio DacitX which sold for $450 American dollars.

I was intending to on staying with Bludento. Then read everything they had done to get the best sounding Bluetooth with the Soundartist The metal box vs the plastic box of the other 3 sealed the deal.

Impressions this is one heavy little box built like a tank. I have moved it many times and unlike the others no signs of failure. The sound quality is superior CD quality. I’m running it through a Willsenton 300b tube amp and Silverline Minuett speakers it sounds fantastic. I hooked it up to the Peachtree Audio $450 external DAC and there was a notable drop in performance. That still stuns me the DAC inside this $95 Bluetooth sounds better.

It’s been over a decade since I’ve reviewed any audio equipment. This one deserves the attention.
