Hello dear Willsenton lovers!
Twenty hours of auditioning with the new Willsenton R8 have already passed. I am very satisfied with its perfect operation and even more pleasantly impressed with the sound quality. My vinyl records got a new life. I don't have any noise, hum or hiss, the volume is dead silent. My R8 is from December 2023 series. I ordered it directly equipped with EL 34PH power tubes and CV 181Tii and TungSol 6SL7 tubes. The product was very well packaged and arrived in very good condition by DHL. As a general observation this tube amp doesn't have though the punch and rhythm of my Yamaha A-S2200 but that one is solid state and much powerfull. I consider the R8 is very good for jazz and lounge. Maybe rolling the tubes I will find others qualities of this nice amplifier. I ordered so far four Svetlana 6550C tubes for more power.
