I have this Amp (point wired and with PSVANE tubes) for 3 months now and it keeps amazing me.
It took quite a while burning in completely.
Sound quality improved very much by these little modification:
- replace capacitors C102 and C202 with a quality MKP capacitor.
- add a 1 microFarad MKP capacitor parallel to both C203
(0,47 probably will do as well)
- (smaller improvement:) bypass volume control
My 8 ohm speakers, Tang Band W4-1879, sounded significantly better on the 4 ohm connectors of the Amp than on the 8 ohm connector (because of less transformer windings?)
Highly recommended. Customer service of China-hifi also was very good.
